This message appears when the serial number of the program you're trying to activate was blocked. You may be are trying to activate the program on more computers than is allowed by the End User License Agreement. This serial number cannot be activated automatically. So, again, if it's just good for text, then why not simply use Copy/Paste?Īnd for images, I know it's a lot more money, but you're a lot better with tools like SnagIt (for capturing, but I guess the capture tools that comes with Windows would be just fine) and a real OCR (I tried Omnipage 17 and ReadIris 14) would do a LOT better job, both with text recognition, image recognition and keeping formating and colors. It does recognize most of the text, but creates other bad things as well. BUT, if we "get" the text, let's say, from a web page, it does a good job of capturing the text and recognizing it, but doesn't keep event the simpliest formating (maybe change of line, but not even paragraphs)! And since it's just text, why not simply do a copy and paste (from Web, pdf, Word or other)?įor images, it doesn't do a good job. It's a quick little tool to make a screen shot and then convert it to text. The video shows a complete OCR product, which IS NOT what we get here. Nelson Therrien I'm still trying to find a use for this. And a lot of wasted time ahead to keep the programs activated with complicated methodes and a lot of support contacts. Why pay a lot of money and get a totally limited freedom. It gives a great amount of freedom and very easy migration to a new PC. There are so many excellent open source programs.
